Dark house plans – I have to admit that whether big or small, essential when choosing a home is that it is light. Once, for better insulate homes, large windows were not built like today but were small windows as people spent the day out and really just were home after dark.

For them it was more importantly a warm place a light house. However, today, especially for those who often work at home, brightness is condition sine qua non for when choosing a home.

But some houses are hopeless, well constructed: stone, brick or slate. What can we do to “enlighten”? The first thing would be to consult an architect if you can make bigger existing windows without affecting the structure of the house. Sometimes just nibble around to enlarge the hole and win in warmth and light.

The ideas of dark house plans paint on the walls should be very clear and, depending on soil color, darker type either wenge or honey-colored parquet, me I would choose the range of beige and white broken by the white better than nuclear.

As for textiles, I am a strong supporter of neutral colors leaving bright colors for the pillows and blankets on the foot of the bed. This time the lampshades at night will be the exact shade of the walls to fade into the environment.

In the social areas, the lounge and dining room, a good way to get a sense of light , is to remove the doors that separate and place a large mirror opposite the window to reflect light. That is, turn it into a multifunctional space, removing partitions. Another good idea to avoid overloading the atmosphere is without curtains and let some light curtains save us from curious glances.

For furniture, nothing better than stripping furniture. The idea of “clearing” the coffee table and dining and seating that is very warm.

The style that you use in the dark house plans is very personal, textiles and furniture can be more Nordic (which seems to prevail in Spain lately) or Provence, or a pinpoint British … that’s a matter of taste.
